As I've said before, the beaches of the Outer Banks can be a distracting place at the best of times... So when you have small children it sometimes helps to have someone stand over your shoulder and make them laugh/smile. That completely defeats the purpose if the person who stands over your shoulder is so good at their job, they make the adults laugh and forget about looking at the camera. In truth, this photo made it onto the list, less because of the people who were in it, and more because of what was happening off camera. Remember, the best photos are the ones with great stories behind them.
