The Dragich Family - Photos in Duck, NC with the Dragich Crew
This summer, I had the chance to photograph the Dragich Family for the very first time, and they were an absolute joy to work with. We met up in the heart of Duck, North Carolina, one of my favorite little pockets of the Outer Banks. The family included one set of grandparents, three sets of parents, and three grandchildren, making for a lively, love-filled group of eleven.
Because of the new baby in the family and everyone's sleep schedules, we opted for a mid-afternoon session instead of the typical golden hour. Yes, the light was a bit brighter than usual, but it turned out to be the perfect call. Everyone was wide awake, full of energy, and completely present. Sometimes, a little extra sunlight is a small price to pay for happy kiddos and relaxed parents.
The beach in Duck gave us the perfect backdrop. With soft sand, blue skies, and the ocean behind them, the Dragich Family made the scene come alive. Whether it was grandparents snuggling grandbabies or cousins getting silly, each moment felt warm and genuine. I love when families bring their full selves to a session, and this crew did just that.
This shoot was one more reminder of why I love Outer Banks family photography. It’s not just about taking pretty pictures at the beach. It’s about creating lasting memories for families who’ve carved out this time to be together. The Dragich Family made the most of their OBX vacation, and I’m thankful they brought me along to help preserve those moments.
