There is something pretty special about a family vacation that brings both sets of grandparents together, especially when there is a new grandbaby to celebrate. The Wiskeman family gathered in Corolla for exactly that reason, and it made for a wonderful evening of Outer Banks family photography.
With three generations together, we made sure to photograph the whole group as well as the immediate family with their two little ones. Having grandparents along gives us opportunities for photographs that become more valuable with time, especially during a season when the grandchildren are growing and changing so quickly.
The kids gave us plenty of personality too. We mixed the traditional portraits with individual photographs and some fun, active moments on the beach. Once we reached the water, mom and dad were tossing the kids into the air, everyone was laughing, and we had the kind of natural family moments that make an Outer Banks beach photography session so much fun.
Even the family dog got her moment in front of the camera!
The soft, cloudy evening gave us beautiful light across the dunes and along the ocean in Corolla. It was a great backdrop for celebrating a growing family, two very happy sets of grandparents, and a new little addition who was clearly the reason everyone wanted to be together.
