Celebrating the Sharma Family – A Nags Head Sunset Before the Fireworks

Just before the sky lit up with fireworks on the Fourth of July, I had the joy of photographing the Sharma family on the beaches of Nags Head. This sweet family of four brought such a gentle warmth to the evening, two energetic boys, a joyful mom, and a dad who clearly treasures his crew.

We timed the session for that soft golden light that rolls in right before dusk, and the Outer Banks gave us the perfect backdrop. From the wind in the sea oats to the pastel colors in the sky, everything felt calm and timeless. And yet, there was this anticipation buzzing in the air, families gathering, fireworks on the way, memories being made all around.

Originally from India, the Sharmas remind me how the OBX continues to be a place where people from all over the world come to rest, reconnect, and celebrate. Whether it’s your first time on the coast or your fifteenth, there’s something magical about capturing your story here.
