The Hendrixson Family – Corolla Beach Portraits with Heart

This was my first time working with the Hendrixson Family, and what a joy it was. We met up in Corolla, North Carolina, with 15 family members spanning three generations, grandparents, an aunt and uncle, four kids with their spouses, and the grandkids.

We kicked things off in the dunes, where the golden light made everything glow, and then headed down to the shoreline as the sun began to set. The love this family has for each other was easy to see, and even easier to photograph.

We made a few thoughtful adjustments to ensure every family member felt comfortable and included, which is something I always strive for during sessions. Moments like these remind me just how important it is to meet families exactly where they are and create space for everyone to feel seen.

Corolla delivered with a perfect summer evening, and the Hendrixsons brought the warmth. I’m so grateful they trusted me with these memories.
