There are family sessions… and then there are family-by-choice sessions—and this one was an absolute blast! Eight best friends, one Corolla beach, and a whole lot of laughter made this Outer Banks photography session one for the books.

The Austin crew came to the OBX to soak up the sun, kick back, and celebrate their bond with an evening of hilarious antics and joy-filled memories. Dressed in classic white and overflowing with personality, they brought the kind of energy that makes my job as a beach photographer ridiculously fun. From playful group shots and romantic moments to goofy piggyback rides and inside jokes, we captured a whole range of connections—and a lot of belly laughs.

Even with a few clouds rolling in, the light was perfect and the backdrop of Corolla’s wide-open shoreline gave us the kind of natural, relaxed atmosphere this session called for. The love, the friendship, the ridiculous poses (you know who you are)—every bit of it reminded me why I love photographing people who really know how to have fun together.
