Westley Family – Corolla Beach Session Full of Laughs, Love, and Legendary Nicknames

Up in Corolla, I met up with the Westley Family for a beach session that had everything: laughter, sunshine, and a cast of characters worthy of their own sitcom (or maybe a telenovela, more on that in a minute). Fourteen family members strong, this crew was made up of two grandparents, three grown kids with their spouses, and six grandkids, five girls and one lone boy holding his own like a champ.

From the moment we started, the whole family brought the fun. There was constant joking, effortless smiles, and a contagious energy that made every shot a breeze. This is one of those families that just gets each other, you could feel the closeness, and it made my job incredibly easy.

The grandkids were a blast to photograph, especially the girls who quickly turned the beach into their own runway. And speaking of standout personalities, yes, someone did show up with a nickname so epic it could only belong to a telenovela villain. You know who you are... 

As the sun started to drop, Corolla gave us one of those dreamy Outer Banks evenings, soft sand, gentle waves, and a golden glow that made every frame pop. These are the kinds of family sessions I live for: laid-back, heartfelt, and a little bit hilarious.
